Frequently asked questions

Every home and situation is different, but these are the questions I'm most commonly asked about how sessions work, what to expect, and whether you should be embarrassed by a messy home (absolutely not!). If there’s anything else you’d like to ask, feel free to get in touch.

What areas do you cover?

Twickenham, Teddington, Hampton, Kingston, Richmond, Kew, Isleworth, Whitton and surrounding areas. If your area isn't listed here, please email me to check.

Should I book a half day or full day?

If you’re unsure, send me a short description and a few photos of the space. I’ll recommend the best starting point based on the size of the area and how much needs sorting.

Can I book online?

Yes — you can book a session directly online using my calendar.

What kind of spaces do you help with?

Any room or area within the house, including attics. Smaller clutter spots may include wardrobes, kitchen cupboards, drawers - wherever you need help. I don't currently work on garages, garden sheds or basements.

What if I'm embarrassed by my chaotic home?

That’s very common but please let me reassure you – mess and clutter are what I help with! We work through things step by step and focus on making practical progress, not perfection.

Do I need to tidy before you arrive?

No — please don’t worry about tidying first, and never feel embarrassed about your mess and clutter – that's what I'm here for! I need to see how the space is really being used so we can organise it in a way that works for you.

Will you make me throw lots of things away?

No. I’ll guide and support you, but you stay in control of decisions about your belongings.

Will you judge how my house looks?

No, absolutely not! Every home is different, and there’s nothing unusual about needing help with clutter or organisation.

Do I need to buy storage containers before we start?

No. Please don’t buy anything in advance. We’ll start by decluttering and reducing what you no longer need, and only then look at storage. You won’t know what you actually need until we can see what’s left. If anything is needed, I’ll suggest simple options during the session.

What can be achieved in one session?

Every home is different and it depends on the size of the space and how much needs sorting. Smaller areas can often be completed in one session, while larger rooms or full house resets usually take longer.

Do full house resets take more than one session?

Yes — full house resets will typically require multiple sessions depending on the size of your home and the level of clutter.

Can sessions be extended on the day?

Yes, if I have availability and we’re making good progress, a half-day can sometimes be extended into a full day.

Do you remove unwanted items?

Yes — I can take away one car boot load of sorted items for charity donation or recycling for a flat fee of £50.

Do I need to be there during the session?

Usually yes, especially for decluttering and decision-making. Many organising tasks can continue independently once decisions have been made.

Are sessions confidential?

Absolutely. I understand that inviting someone into your home can feel personal, and I treat everyone respectfully and without judgement. Photos are only ever taken or shared with your written permission.

Do you work with hoarding?

No, I don't work with hoarding situations. Hoarding is a recognised mental health condition and usually requires specialist support. My approach works best when you are ready to let go of some items during the process.
